Apply for Camp PALS 2017
Our Camper spots are currently filled at Cleveland, Georgetown, Maine, New Jersey, and Poconos locations. All new applications at these locations will be waitlisted at this time.
Camp PALS is open to young adults with Down syndrome ages 12-30. Each of our campers is paired one-to-one with a volunteer counselor whom they room and travel with throughout the week. Campers must be able to independently handle hygiene, work well in a group setting, and excel at a busy, fun-filled week.
Apply early - we guide acceptances on a first-come, first-serve basis!
Female Counselor applications are only being accepted at New York, Philadelphia Session 2, and San Francisco. Female Counselor applicants at other locations will be waitlisted at this time.
Camp PALS welcomes applications for individuals between the ages of 16-30. (Ages ranges are designed to match the general camper ages for each program.)
Each counselor is assigned a camper, whom they will room and travel with throughout the week. Counselors have no out-of-pocket costs during the week, other than transportation to and from camp. Applicants should be ready to be both challenged and inspired.
If you submitted a staff application for Adventures, Director Role, or Campus Ambassadors, login to CampInTouch and fill out the "Camp PALS 2017: Location Preferences" form to apply for Camp.
Medical & Media Support Staff
Our Medical and Media volunteers serve vital roles in the PALS community and are necessary to ensure our 2017 summer is a success.
We are looking for photographers and videographers who can capture each and every moment of the PALS magic.
We need doctors and nurses who can help us distribute medication, review medical forms, and support the safety of our campers and counselors during the week.
For more information on either of these roles, please contact our Recruitment Associate, Brenna O'Sullivan.
