Camp PALS New York Wish List
Camp PALS New York is getting excited for our second year of Camp, and this year we’re coming to a new location: Cornell University! We have been working extremely hard on creating the perfect week, so our Campers and Volunteers can fully experience the Finger Lakes region.
We believe in always shooting for the stars, so this year we are planning on making PALS history! With that being said, Camp PALS New York is going Wine Tasting! However, we need your help to bring the PALS Magic and make this possible. Our concept is simple—changing perspectives through relationships built on shared experiences. As Camp PALS has grown, so has the passion within each of our community members. We would love to make this an inclusive environment that’s unique to both the vineyards in the Finger Lakes region, and our Camp.
Camp PALS New York would be so grateful for any kind of donation towards our Wish List that works for you. We are thankful for your support, and hope to successfully achieve our dream of this awesome new experience. You can donate specifically through our fundraising page here.
Camp PALS New York Wine Tour:
Wine Tastings: Cost $1,500
Cornell University is located in Ithaca, otherwise known as the heart of the Finger Lakes. Known for their beautiful waterfalls and state parks, Cornell and it’s surrounding area is also home to more than 100 wineries. Since the Finger Lakes is on the map as the wine region of the East, and Camp PALS strives to create immersive local experiences, we plan to experience all that this region has to offer.
Campers and Counselors will look forward to tasting a variety of wines, however, we also hope to educate the Camp on the scientific and agricultural aspects of wine and what makes this region so conducive to that.
Lunch: Cost $1,000
Since our PALS Wine Tour will take up most of the afternoon, lunch will need to be provided. This donation enables our Camp to have a scenic picnic at one of the beautiful wineries we plan on visiting.
Transportation: Cost $1,500
Logistically, Camp PALS New York is too large for one winery to accommodate all of our needs at once, which is why we are looking into three separate wineries. As a result, our camp would ideally break up into groups of three so that each winery could accommodate us, and then rotate the three groups between the three wineries. This donation will help transport our Camp to and from each the wineries.
We cannot thank you enough for helping us provide this experience. Because of you, we are able to make PALS history and continue to show the world the beauty of acceptance and inclusion.
