We’re excited to be launching a new program this April: PALS Fit (Friends In Training) will provide opportunities for the local community to join PALS in taking on fitness challenges by partnering with individuals with Down syndrome.
The first ever PALS Fit event will be a 3K Fun Run, held near the University of Maryland, College Park on April 28. It will be an awesome reunion for old and new PALS friends as well as anyone else who wants to join in on the fun.
PALS Fit was started by Noam Schildhaus, a four-time counselor in the PALS family. Noam is leading a group of University of Maryland students as part of a Public Leadership Program. The students plan to make this PALS Fit Fun Run an annual event that can be used as a model at universities across the country.
We hope that PALS Fit will bring the community together and will be the first of many wellness initiatives in the PALS family.
So sign up today for our 3K! Registration is $25/person and includes a t-shirt. We encourage people to do additional fundraising to win some cool prizes. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested and with any questions!
