Jenna Aidikoff and I discussed Camp PALS in Washington D.C. during the last weekend in February. Camp PALS had been invited to speak at the Down Syndrome Affiliates in Action conference, and we looked at the conference as an opportunity to spread word about Camp to leaders from many Down syndrome advocacy groups.
Each year, we find it important to take stock of where we are and where we are going, and conferences offer us the chance to present the Camp PALS model and unveil new ideas. The DSAIA conference was no exception, as issues such as life-long connections and measured growth were considered.
In short, we are continually endeavoring to make Camp PALS the best camp in the world, and the future is bright. If you have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to reach out. And don’t feel as though you need to travel to places like Washington to reach me (or any of the other directors); email works great, too!
See you in three months!
