New Congratulations Project Partnerships!

Two summers ago we began the Congratulations Project - offering our campers and counselors an opportunity to write letters to new parents of babies with Down syndrome. Our dream is that these letters will reach new families all over the world, and we are excited to share two new partnerships that are helping us do just that!

This weekend, our letters were distributed at the semi-annual New Parent Family Reception hosted by the Trisomy 21 Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Thanks to a generous partnership with 1-800-Flowers, each family received a beautiful bouquet of flowers with their Congratulations Project letter. We are so excited about this partnership, and are grateful to 1-800-Flowers (specifically PALS counselor Josh Gordon) and CHOP for putting this event together!

We have also been working with the National Down Syndrome Society to help find new ways to distribute our letters. In addition to helping us connect with local Buddy Walks and advocacy groups, the NDSS has now added The Congratulations Project to their official site for New & Expectant Parents! Check out our link in the section titled “Where Should I Go From Here?”

We are always looking for new ways to share our letters and new partnership opportunities. Please let us know if you have any ideas at congratulations@palsprograms.org!
