Down Syndrome Pregnancy is a program designed to support new and expecting parents of babies with Down syndrome. In addition to newsletters and online articles (like this one which highlights a personal perspective from PALS Executive Director, Jenni Newbury Ross), Down Syndrome Pregnancy has created a book titled “Diagnosis to Delivery: A Pregnant Mother’s Guide to Down Syndrome”.
We are excited to share that the PALS Congratulations Project is now an official part of the “Resources” section in the newest version of “Diagnosis to Delivery”.
As stated on their website, “There is plenty of information out there about Down syndrome but a lot of it is not accurate, balanced, or up-to-date, and this can be scary and overwhelming to new parents. The information found in “Diagnosis to Delivery” and downsyndromepregnancy.org is empowering, helping new parents see that their new baby with Down syndrome will have all the same wonderful qualities and possibilities as any new baby, so that the arrival of this new life is the celebration it was meant to be.”
We are excited to support Down Syndrome Pregnancy in this cause and eager to share the powerful words of our campers through The Congratulations Project to as many people as possible!
