Our New Program Coordinator

We are excited to introduce our new Program Coordinator, Sarah Barnes! Sarah will be joining our full-time staff, working alongside Jenni to support our current and future programs, strengthen our partnerships, and enhance PALS in each and every community we serve.

Sarah has a perfect background for this job, but more importantly has an incredible passion and vision for our future. She will be attending all six of our camps this summer - and is excited to meet everyone! Please take time to introduce yourself or congratulate her at sarah@palsprograms.org.

Here’s a little bit more from Sarah herself…

“Hello PALS Family!

My name is Sarah and I’m thrilled to be joining the PALS staff as Program Coordinator! First, a little bit about me. I have a background in sales, event planning, fundraising, and teaching. I also enjoy coaching - I have led runnings groups, boot camps, and been a personal trainer. I live in Davis, California with my husband and two dogs.

For the past two years, I have been working as an inclusion specialist. During this time I had the pleasure of spending all my days with an amazing young man named Patrick. Patrick has Down syndrome. He is my connection to this community and will be a first time camper this year at Camp PALS Chicago. He is what helps drive my passion. When I met Patrick I knew immediately that he benefited from being fully included in his school setting. What I learned over time was that his classmates benefited even more. They are better people for knowing him.

Through PALS I see the opportunity to create more of these powerful, lasting relationships. I am so excited to begin this adventure. I look forward to using my experience, connections, and passion to grow this fantastic organization. Together, we can bring PALS to new communities, new people, and new heights!”
