Counselor Kevin Cloyes writes about his big sister, camper Megan Cloyes:
“Down Syndrome Awareness is important to me because it lets everyone know exactly how much my sister is capable of. Too many people set low expectations for individuals with special needs. I like to set the bar high. I’ve seen my sister accomplish things no one would have expected her to when she was born.
Today, Megan is a full time student at The College of New Jersey’s Career and Community Studies program and lives right off campus in a house with her friends. She is a seasoned public speaker and self advocate and has even done some modeling work for Toys R Us. I couldn’t be prouder of her and can’t wait for her to continue crushing people’s expectations.”
