We are excited to announce the addition of two new members to the PALS Executive Board:
Brenna O'Sullivan has been with PALS since 2009. She has served as a counselor, head counselor, and most recently as a director for Camp PALS Dallas 2014 and Camp PALS Maine 2015. Her big sister, Kelsie, has Down syndrome and is a PALS camper. As a sibling, Brenna has always been deeply connected to the Down syndrome community, and is looking forward to serving the PALS Executive Board in the areas of programming and expansion as we continue to serve the needs of the PALS Family. Brenna currently lives in Portland, Maine and works at a nonprofit called Advocates for Children.
Conor Hawes joined PALS in the summer of 2013 as a counselor at both the Georgetown and Chicago programs. As is the case with many of our volunteers - he was instantly hooked. Conor was subsequently selected as a director of Camp PALS Chicago, a position that he held over the course of two years. He is very enthusiastic about the opportunity to help contribute to the board’s work to build, foster, and scale PALS as it continues to grow and reach more individuals and families within the Down syndrome community. Conor works as a consultant at Deloitte with a focus on implementing packaged software in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry. He is based out of Chicago.
Additionally, we’re seeking another board member to focus on Fundraising and Development efforts. This would include (but isn’t limited to): working with top donors, identifying and writing grants, and assisting with fundraising campaigns. The ideal candidate has experience in this area and is passionate about ensuring PALS’ long term sustainability.
If that sounds like you, or someone you know, we’d love to chat. Express interest »
