Have you heard of Giving Tuesday? It falls on November 27th, after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday – after you’ve given thanks, and bought your friends and family holiday gifts. Giving Tuesday was created as a day to support your favorite charities. Of course, we would love for you to include PALS. Your donation not only helps us keep our tuition low for our Campers with Down syndrome, it also supports our financial aid program for Campers who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend Camp PALS. We rely on generous supporters to help us fulfill our vision of a world of acceptance and inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome. We hope you will join us on #GivingTuesday by sharing PALS mission with your loved ones. Here are a few ways you can get involved:

Start your own fundraising page.

You can check out the fundraising guide we made last month here to create a page on PALS online fundraising platform. Did you know you can create a fundraising page through Facebook, too? Check out how here.

Spread the word on social media.

Like, comment and share our posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. It’s a great way to introduce new friends to the PALS Family.

Donate to PALS.

There are several different ways to donate to PALS, which you can find here. Donations are key to continue our vision of inclusion and acceptance.

Volunteer with PALS.

The volunteer application for Summer Programs opens December 1st. Head to our YouTube to see some of our videos from last summer.

But wait, there’s more! For #GivingTuesday, we are having another competition. Both the fundraiser who raises the most money on Giving Tuesday, and the fundraiser who has the most donations on Giving Tuesday will win any item in the PALS Store. That’s two chances to win!

One great way to help get donations is to start sharing now. Let your friends and family know about PALS Programs and Giving Tuesday. Then once Giving Tuesday rolls around, they’ll be informed and ready to help!
